Hey everyone!
Due to the size of our group, I have opted to split us up into two groups of four. One will go this Sunday the 16th, and the other will go on the following Sunday the 23rd. Both games will begin at 3pm EST (2pm Central), and will be livestreamed on twitch.tv/trolllordgames
We will be playing a group of 1st level characters. If you need any assistance making your character prior to game time, let me know. I would be more than happy to help! I can be reached via email at [email protected] or on discord at Kothar #4986
The day of the event I will reach out early to get everyone into a call so that we can set up audio and video properly.
Please consult the rosters below to see which day you will be playing. If there is any scheduling issues with these dates, PLEASE let me know as soon as possible!
SUNDAY, APRIL 16th at 3PM EST
Jorge Sanchez, Jack Pryne, Andy Sims, and Starman Morrison
SUNDAY, APRIL 23rd at 3PM EST
Danny Fisher, Doctor Foxmeat, Paul Leon, and Brad M. Rickett II

If you haven't heard already, BOOKS HAVE SHIPPED!
Some of you have been commenting that you've already received your copies, which is awesome. All of the books are now in transit and should arrive at your door soon!
This has been a monumental journey for all of us here, and we're just about at the end of it. If you've received your copy, feel free to let us know what you think of it down below, and also what you'd like to see in future projects!
Best,

Hi everyone! I have some important updates for you all.
First, there is a handful of people who still have balances due on their BackerKit accounts. This was due to an error on BackerKit's end where they weren't collecting tax when cards were charged. I have spoken to a rep from the company, and they have told me that you should now be able to settle the balance.
I encourage you all to go and check that you don't have a balance remaining on BackerKit.
Along those same lines, we're getting ready to start shipping things out next week or the week after. This is your last chance to update your address on BackerKit, so if you need to do so, I recommend doing it right away to avoid any potential issues.
I feel that I should also speak briefly on the topic of the Open Game License, and how potential changes being enacted by Wizards of the Coast will affect Swords & Chaos.
Swords & Chaos was developed using OGL 1.0a and pulls from the System Reference Document in myriad sections. This potential deauthorization of OGL 1.0a jeopardizes Swords & Chaos' ability to continue as it currently exists. While nothing is set in stone for WotC as of now, I feel it best to take action while I still can.
In response to these potential changes (and in an effort to disentangle my game from the intellectual property of an increasingly predatory company) we have begun the process of excising all instances of SRD content from Swords & Chaos. In practical terms, this means very little for you the player. The revised version of the game will play in the same way as it was originally intended. The names of some monsters will be changed, and the text will be altered to avoid similarities to the System Reference Document. This will not be a new edition of the game, but rather a reformatting, as the old and new versions will be compatible with one another.
To be clear, the book being shipped to you is the original version of Swords & Chaos, rather than the OGL-less version, which is still being produced.
I don't know when this OGL-less version of Swords & Chaos will be available to the public, but it won't take forever. After all, we are running low on copies anyway, and it would be ideal if we could just implement the changes in the next batch.
I will also be using this as an opportunity to correct typographical and formatting errors that appear in the first print run, so there is some good that will come of this.
Thank you all for your patience!

Billing, Shipping, and More

Hey everyone, just a quick update to let you know where we're at entering the new year. We've contacted our logistics company looking for an update on when the books will ship out, and I'm currently waiting on a reply. The last estimate I received was that shipping would begin in mid to late January, but that was some time ago. I know the books are sitting in a warehouse ready to be shipped out, but it's simply a matter of waiting our turn. I will post another update as soon as they give me a call back!
Also, we have gone ahead and locked orders and charged the cards we have on file, as it seems likely that shipping will begin this month. Check your email for anything from BackerKit on the subject, as they may want additional information to lock your order!
You also still have time to update your address on BackerKit if you need to do so, as addresses have not been locked.
Furthermore, there are still 16 people with unanswered backerkit surveys who have physical products being shipped to them. This is a big deal because without that survey, I have no way of knowing where to send their orders to. Please double check that you completed your survey!
Lastly, a fun little extra note to share with you all--we'll be at GaryCon this year running Swords & Chaos, and we hope to see you there too!
